Nexus Alliance is not interested in the simple accumulation of members and ultimately chapters.  Its emphasis is on the quality and integrity of its membership.

A man who successfully completes the membership selection process will immediately have access to a brotherhood of men who share similar values and aspirations.  Men who are engaged in various academic disciplines and professional endeavors.  However, no matter how accomplished a person is, personal goals will never supersede those of the organization.  A person who feels he would do the organization a favor by joining is not worthy of membership. No one who holds himself out as superior to the group as a whole warrants entrance into the brotherhood.

1.  Networking Opportunities -- Nexus members will have increased exposure to many people and businesses.  In addition, members will have the following:

• Substantially increased referrals
• Tools to network more effectively
• Participation in monthly networking meetings
• Educational material on successful networking, public speaking and business development
• Participation in business tradeshows (where a member will have an opportunity to market his business)

2.  Assist with Community Outreach Efforts -- Nexus members will be able to

• Improve educational opportunities for students of-color through scholarships, academic achievement initiatives and youth leadership development, and to ultimately close the so called "achievement gap" that continues to stunt the growth of African-American children and others
• Implement an economic empowerment agenda designed to improve a person's fiscal health and understanding
• Engage in a health, wellness, prevention and education initiative
• Encourage greater political activism and civic involvement
• Participate in a holistic mentoring program designed to build the requisite skills needed for a young person to become a productive and contributing citizen

3.  Participate in Periodic Workshops -- Nexus members will be able to hear guest lecturers on topics such as:

• Health and Wellness
• Financial Planning
• Relationship Betterment
• Playing in the New Economy
• Personal Branding
• Professional Etiquette
• Entrepreneurship
• Leadership Development
• Board of Director Training
